1. The temporary emergency food assistance is available to individuals in a crisis situation or individuals that are waiting for their food stamps to arrive. This service is provided on a one time basis per year. Clients are required to provide driver's liscense and paperwork from DFS to give evidence they are waiting of food stamps.
2. The temporary emergency program is also available to individuals that have had surgery or are ill and need food assistance during recuperation time. The time will be determined based on Doctor's orders.
